My name is Shannon Field. I was born on April 3, 1983 in Brooklyn, NY. I was basically brought up without a religion, with an American culture. I do celebrate some Christian holidays such as Christmas and Easter, but only in the Commercial aspect of it. Those two holidays have very much became like an American tradition, viewing more on Santa and his sleigh of gifts than Jesus and the Virgin Mary. It was a time of gifts.

    I am currently a sophomore in Sheepshead Bay High School. I play guitar in the school jazz and concert bands. I am also in the CIG program (Center for Intellectually gifted). It has the top 50 or so students out of a school containing several thousand.

    I have many interests. I have enjoyed playing many sports in leagues. This includes baseball, basketball, soccer and my favorite sport hockey. I am always trying new ones such as rugby, which I had just tried this summer.

    I happen to be very good with computers. I got into the art of making web sites from just learning HTML. Now I have knowledge a variety of programming languages including Java Script, C++ and Java. However Java is not used on this web site.

    I have experienced the many cultures among living in Brooklyn, NY and the traveling across the U.S. I did with my family. I have been to about 20 states and two countries.

    I hope to get my collage major in computer programing and persue that field as my carrer.  I am preparing even now in high school, with my ever expanding knowledge of computers.
